Investing in the team behind the work – Positive Women Odesa
WHLF flexible funding enabled Positive Women Odesa to strengthen both its operations and the wellbeing of its team. Through investments in equipment, office improvements, and psychosocial support, the organisation was able to build a stronger foundation for its work with women from vulnerable and marginalised groups.
According to Positive Women Odesa: "Flexible funding gave us the opportunity to independently determine our priorities according to the current needs of our team and organisation. This allowed us to invest not only in programme activities, but also in strengthening our institutional capacity. We improved the material and technical base of our office, ensured the stability of our operations, and created a safe and comfortable working environment for both staff and the women we support.
“Of particular value was the opportunity to invest in the psycho-emotional wellbeing of our team. Trainings with a psychologist, master classes, and a retreat helped us better understand our own resources and limits, reduce stress and professional burnout, strengthen trust and mutual support, and become more emotionally resilient. As a result, our team is more cohesive and confident in responding to challenges.
