Strengthening systems, leadership, and humanitarian practice-Successful Woman
Through WHLF support, Successful Woman strengthened both its organisational systems and the capacity of its team. The project enabled the organisation to improve internal processes and digital management systems while also investing in staff development through training on humanitarian standards, women’s leadership, peacebuilding, and post-warearly recovery. Together, these investments helped build a stronger foundation for sustainable and high-quality support to communities.
According to Successful Woman: "This project became an important step in strengthening our organisation and preparing us for long-term, sustainable work. Through a comprehensive review of our activities, we documented key organisational processes, developed standard operating procedures, clarified roles and responsibilities, and created a digital workspace that connects strategic goals with everyday tasks. These changes improved internal coordination, strengthened accountability, and helped us manage our work more effectively.
At the same time, the project invested in the professional development of our team. Through training on the Sphere humanitarian standards, we gained a deeper understanding of international approaches to humanitarian response and strengthened our ability to provide assistance that is safe, consistent, and centred on people’s needs. We are already seeing this knowledge reflected in the quality of our services and our engagement with donors and partners.
The project also strengthened our understanding of women’s leadership, peacebuilding, and post-warearly recovery. Through training on the Women, Peace and Security agenda, participants explored approaches to community development, dialogue, conflict transformation, and women’s participation in decision-making processes. Together, these investments strengthened our expertise, increased trust in our organisation, and enhanced our ability to support women, families, and communities in the future."
